I was planning on using a TF999/Dana300 on my V8 CJ project with a 4" lift kit.
Now I'm worried that the rear prop (about 20"ish) is gonna be too short to cope with the angle.
Am I gonna have to space the tranny mount/skid plate down a mile to get a workable angle and then lose all the belly clearance gained by the lift?

the most that Chards (company building my rear prop) would go is 17.5* on a dbl cardon at trans end and UJ at the axle. he could go more but the cost went ups loads. this prop is costing 400 but that includes a 300mm slide which is not stricly needed but cant hurt  :wink:

FFS I'm still sheding tears after forkin out for two detroit truetracs.
Have you tried IMS in Birmingham?

How much lift are you running and what sort of drive angles are you getting? (difficult to be prescise I know)

It might be time for a rethink.

2.5" kit 1" B.L.

Should clear 33x12.5 maybe a bit of rubbing.

I don't like body lifts I think they look ferking stupid but 1" is hardly noticable.

I daren't write wot I'm thinking now.

You'll all cringe!

Agree 1" body is acceptable - drive line angle is another story!!!!

got my new rear prop, good for 100mph at 17.5* (thats a 4" lift and 1" tranny drop) in preperation for revolver shackles and new springs I had it made with a full length slide, in the pic fully closed the spline end is allmost touching the cardon
