You should find D44s front and back.

If you've got the quadratrack transmission you should have RH offset Dana 44s front and rear.
The axle ratio code will either be stamped into the machined face next to the diff cover or on an embossed metal tag on one of the cover bolts.
Axle ratio code is encoded in the VIN number too I think.
I just can't remember where to find the decoding chart

So, not checked yet, but lets assume they are 44's, I have 2 questions please:
1. What advantage would there be in having 44's on the CJ, if any? I can find articles talking about it but not why (other than wider stance).
2. If i decide not to have them, is there any £ value to them?
Cheers Fellas/Felleresses

Top swap over the pond
Waggy axles appear everywhere from brutalized flatties to CJs with full size spring (2.5) inches wide conversions to sort of straight swap for YJ.
Axle tubes bigger and stronger
Brakes bigger
More opportunity to go real deep with the gearing
Dana 30's go 4.88 deep and thats it
Dana 44s go 5.38 or more
So bigger tyres option and still geared to go.
Lighthouse let 'em go for £200-£400 each depending on condition and wether front or rear.
If your front is a left side drop.......... I'm here!!!!!!! If you want to out it?
Bucket load of aftermarket support for 44s throughout the US axle shafts cross over steering crazy knuckles for Willwood brakes etc, only limited by our exchange rate!

£200 to £400 each?
I must be worth a fortune then!
Too good to weigh in as scrap anyways.
If ya widetracks turn out to be a bit TOO wide for the CJ, I've got a pair of N/T waggy axles I'd swop for 'em

yup, decided not to scrap them, dunno yet whether to flog or keep for a future CJ mod tho
the cover sits under the drivers side, so im guessin that would be a right side drop?

Yup those be the Q/T ones.
If you get time try to hunt down Mattys V8 YJ on the Muddyjeepers site (If it still exists)
YJ Wrangler, AMC 360, FSJ Wagoneer running gear inc transmission and axles.
And SOA axle conversion (about 7" lift) with big fuck off tyres.
He had it on eBlag not long back for about 4K (probably owes him more)
No bidders tho
