newbie needing help

right my in laws have a jeep grand cherokee 4.0 limted petrol auto. The water pump needs replacing the problem i'm having is that i can only find the workshop manual from haynes that is for the just the cherokee and doesn't cover the grand cherokee apparently what is the differnce as i need to do the water asap

The exact differences are just too numerous to list as they are completly different vehicles which use some of the same running gear. The engine being one!

As Peter says, they're a totally different vehicle with similar names. They do share an engine though,
and the manual for a Cherokee will show you how to change the water pump on a Grand Cherokee.
The difference will be in the cowling for the viscous fan and the serpentine belt. Once you have those off,
the procedure for the water pump is the same.
