33's is a big step and is where it starts to hurt. ££££. mostly cos yer gears become the next thing to do. your easiest option is to get a super 35 kit and just get it all re-geared. yer front axle is plenty strong as long as you dont drive like an arse and back off when ya should. super 35 shafts are stronger than stock 44's so i doubt you will break them. there aint really a cheap option when going to 33's with the running gear you have and if ya cut corners it will cost ya double in the long run. do it right first time or just save yer money. 8-)

oh and ya dont need to go 4.56. manda's tj is on 4.11's and works just right so does sheps x tj. 4.56 will just add extra torque to brak stuff you dont need to break. ust my 2$ mate and only tryin to save ya some learning.

swapping axles will never be cheap just less expensive than others. How easy depends on if your incluned to get the angle grinder and welder out and do alot your self. They're arn't alot of straight swap options out there but the common swap is for the ford 8.8 or 9 especially on the rear

Do alot of towing 2+ tonnes with the Jeep so 4.56 is the way to go

Really don't want to go down s35 route, just looking into ford 8.8 now, spring pertches are $22 from quadratech, regear the same as a d35 so looks a good option, plus they are fairly common in scrap yards (2 exploders in my local place)

not bad for £50, was thinking along those lines myself but a 2.5 petrol came along at the right price so a straight swap of axles was easier.

4.56 - Isuzu 3.1 back axle is that, and they are bomb proof.
