Something is going on with my Jeep. Sunday afternoon for no apparent reason all the guages went dead, the check guages light came on as well as the MIL (engine light). I also had no buS where the mileage display should be. The engine ran OK and would drive with no issues. I disconnected the battery, had a smoke and when I connected the battery back up all was fine. Today the Check Guages light came on, so I removed the instrument cluster and re-seated it but the check guages light is still on and the Voltmeter guage is dead. The battery is not fully charged so figure it may be that thats dropped the Voltmeter which in turn triggered the Check Guages ans since I charged it up this afternoon the light is off. Some good info on NAXJA but anyone here with similar problems and resolutions appreciated. It's a 01 XJ diesel.
