So there I am removing the Transfer Case (242) from my dismantled XJ.
Get all the linkages off, remove the crossmember, driveshafts off, and those top nuts that need to be removed to split the transfer case from the transmission!!!! What buggers!!

Even dropping the transfer case/tranmission down and I still can't get to them with my sausage fingers!!
There is just no room even with a stubby wrench. There must be an easier way or a tool that will make the job easier. Had to give up this afternoon as it got dark.
BTW - Anybody want a perfectly working 242 transfer case with all the linkages/levers when I've finished?? Price to be agreed!!
