xj ball joints
« on: November 06, 2010, 05:31:04 PM »

just called my local halfords today regarding front lower ball joint, now we alll know that here in the uk halfords are not known for there bargain deals on spare parts .

however after calling them today, and being but on hold for ages, the partsman came back and gave me a price of around £14.25,,,,yes thats right,,,and they were cheaper tha local car factors..so one is ordered for monday morning,,,,,,put it just shows you  the wee dealers are not always the best source,,,,i still cant beleave the price i am getting from halfords on this.

well been there and done that and never again.

went ot collect the ball joint, just about to pay for it,opened it,and know you what it was the wrong one, nearly pulled the partman, well the guy at the counter over it,said they would get another one that day for me,still waiting for the phone call, just ended up going to local factors and getting one there, cost a couple of greenshields more but should have just went to local dealer in the first place.

halfords!!!! dont bother, they dont have a clue even with your car reg,and then talk to you as if you dont know what your talkin about, the words dana 30 axle 1984 to 2001 seems to go over there heads....a total joke, halfords stick to serviciing kids bikesyou twatts.

regards to all,feel better now!!!!!!!!

what do you ecxpect from a kid who couldn't get a job at kwik fit? seriously having  worked for halfords delivering stock to the stores and seeing the pre-pubescent idiots trying to deal with  just moving stock around and putting it away I am amazed they are still in business.

halfrauds is as only as good as the person reading the monitor screen.

i bought a fan belt for a vitara, the part was as described on the computer but it was 1" too short. they wouldn't believe me it didn't fit since the computer said it was the correct part. i just got one off the shelf that was similar and a little longer.
