Welding on a non Jeep Arghh?
« on: May 16, 2011, 04:29:24 PM »

Well I just logged on and saw a pic of me beating shit outa my POS at Cheapfest last year .......the mulared UJ syndrome....... from reversing up trees..... so kinda relevant.......

I have just  finished welding a battery box for a Yellow Top Optima thats going to be part of a split charge system in a neighbours wheelwell........ so had to make it so it hangs through a hole that I cut in the wheel well and fits under the spare..........

What you're thinking.......... Well yes I'll get some pics.........but its an Astra Van in eye hurting white with more leather and spoilers and HID lights and low as a low thing with 25 profile tyres and stuff with more stuff than Dixons in the back and well you guessed it feck off stereo and now I've got to weld up a tray for the X box and the plasma screen in the back...........

Very neatly done....... but given the choice an old Astra van 1600 cc with auto box and so far he's spent £24K and no I haven't invoiced him yet  8hrs so far plus steel...... and that is really £24K and counting. :icon_rolleyes:

OR THIS   http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2254108.htm

They are both similar DNA somewhere??

I guess we shouldn't point the finger cos look what we do to our Jeeps :jpshakehead:
