Not jeep related but....................
Anyone know how to set the cambelt tensioner on a Citroen/Peugeot TUD5 diesel engine
I think I overtensioned mine 'cos the already worn tensioner spewed its little bearing balls and fetched the belt off
So I just fitted a S/H tensioner and re-timed it using the old scored belt.
FFS, I GOT AWAY WITH IT !!!!!!:098:
Drives perfect, (well as good as it's ever been) and no lumpy tickover or misfiring either.
Now I gotta find a new belt and a way to correctly tension the little bugger.
I got a Haynes Manual (#3014) wot claims to cover it, does it bollocks, it only covers the 1.4D
Apparently the correct Haynes is #1885 but I'm wary of paying out £22 for something probably as useful as a chocolate teapot.
