what you need to reasearch is have jeep restricted power across the engine range for the same size lump. ie a lower spec has less power than a higher spec of the same engine. if that is the case then it should be simple to remap the ecu to allow full throttle etc as intended.
example.
for those people who bought the "new" mini cooper the engine allows 90% throttle travel which is limited by the ecu. the mini one has exactly the same engine but the throttle travel is restricted to 60% hence the power output being lower. remapping the ecu allows the throttle to open to the same as the cooper variant. The car prices between the two models is more than the remap plus if you debadge the car you cant tell unless your aware of the trim specs.
be wary of remapping companies that just increase the fueling etc to get more power, personally i would ask to see the emmissions details pre and post as there should bit little difference.
My personal view is that it's not worth it for a 4x4 the torque levels and power output are set at that level for a reason, practicality.
