Good evening, just been out in the Molotov, proper long run, first one since the new performer intake, hei dizzy, and 670 holley carb, and its has an issue.

I initially thought it was to do with the choke as I had only done short runs, but it appears not. Every time I am remotely aggressive with the loud pedal from a standing start it cuts out, the only way I can move off is to gentle feather it until 5-10 mph and then I can give it some welly. So what gives there? What needs tweaking?

I dont know if it is related but if im free wheeling it is popping a lot, no really a backfire, just a pop.

Its still lethargic in my view, the gearbox needs to be used manually to get it to shift

I would say its the fuelling...

at a guess I think it's the secondary choke/throttle opening tooooo soon and that's why it's cutting out and needs a gentle feather to get to the point when it can handle the amount of fuel it's receiving.

Get the secondary to open later and that might fix it.

timing is critical as well......( no pun intended???)

Rolling road set up...... Cost a bit but will get it running as it should!

done some googlin and if it seems that is the right direction to go their is a guy nr me that rodsnsods and the Z club are recommending, old skool tuner, no laptops or acne
