Note to self, remind people to bring a tree strop in case they are winching off trees.

OK , not being funny, please explain why I cannot use a 12 mil spectra strop @ 12 tonne breaking strength in stead of a webbing strop rated at 4'ish or 6 for that matter  :017:

Its not the strength so much (still needs to be up to the job though) but the name of the game is spreading the load on the tree itself so you don't cut into it with the strop and damage the tree.
