Bonnet open warning light - PITA
« on: June 22, 2012, 06:27:33 PM »

Its not a Jeep but I assume its the same - the bonnet open warning light wont go off, and the bonnet def isnt open 100%, and it toots me every time I lock it up as well, is there any way to remove the light on the dash and the tootin without fuckin it all up?

And no im not using a hammer, or firelighters and matches :003:

check the switch the bonnet sits against, may need adjustment or its fubar, on my WJ I think they are push to break so dissconnecting the switch fixes the issue

Here is a cheap way to check..find the button under the hood..get a roll of insulation tape..cut off three or four little strips and add it to the top of the button to take up the gap..test!
I had the same problem with my KJ..and ended up glueing a little rubber 'O' ring to the top of the button..appeared that the gap was too wide.
