got bogged on the snow in IOM - gf's Nissan Pathfinder is just useless and will not get up my drive
so decided to get the Jeep out to flatten the snowdrifts firts- all went well until the wheel fell off!
Literally
Looks like the entire bearing assy has broken leaving the hub still attached to the wheel with driveshaft sticking out. I suspect that like many Jeep things the std bearing is a bit weak (with the monster tyres etc fitted).
Anyone come across this before? Couldn't get it on my trailer so had to rely on NFU rescue= CJ now recovered to garage! Great embaressment- going to retrieve our Alpine RX4 with winter tyres which I had lent my secretary- since the Nissan is so useless ( other Jeep is VOR) as the RX4 is the BEST car in snow ever.
