Whats the catch with these then??
http://http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/15BHP-Power-Mod-Chrysler-Neon-Wrangler-Jeep-Cherokee_W0QQitemZ4624472512QQcategoryZ32624QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Says it adds +15BHP, Power Module, Wrangler Jeep,

If it's what I think it is it's just a resistor to fool the ecu into mixing in more fuel as it think more air is getting sucked in.
Yes you'l get a little bhp but your fuel consumption will go down big style.

says on the site:
3) Will it affect my MPG?
In tests we have found that it is possible to get up to an extra 60 miles from a full tank of petrol. The tests were based on a standard spec Peugeot 106 1.6 GTI & Honda Civic 1.6 CRX. As an average the mpg is usually better or stays the same.
A 4,0L will probably end up suppin more joice though

These turn out to normally be 10P resistor in a 2nd class envolope.
I bought one for my mondeo just to see what the mod was then reported them to ebay for dodgy selling.
Read thir feedback first, it gives you an idea of what people think about them. This seller has a fair few neutrals and a few negatives.
cheap ten pence resistor, not keen on even fitting it

dont bother. this mod messes with the fuel and air mix and dont do a fat lot else. like alcomag said it is just a 10pence resistor in a box basicaly you pull the plug of the inlet manifold presure sensor and plug the resistor in the wires, there for fooling the engine management into thinking the mix is too lean so it adjusts.

I've got a plastic bottle I can paint blue and write NO2 on the side and sell you for £800 and it'll give you a 2000bhp performance increase
