whilst cleaning the engine bay on my 97 td cherry
i noticed about three or four wires that were just dangling merrily
they each have a connector on the end a little like the fitting on the bonnet light
had a quick scan but couldnt find any place to connect them up
any ideas
?

My 4.0L has a couple too. I think you'll find they're just 'spare'. There will be a standard loom for all the XJ's. The plugs that aren't needed on a particular model are just tied up or left hanging.
Dr' Mike will know for sure though.

There are spare cnnectors for different specifications/markets. Ignore them unless something doesn't work.
