I fitted the 2" lift kit this weekend and fitted Hel stainless brake hoses. I created a problem for myself  as I did not check the bleed nipples were all working and sods law one of them is rusted solid.
Can I just bleed from 1 nipple to clear the air out of the system? It is the offside rear that has the seized nipple.

I also forgot to ask, do I need to have the front wheels aligned after the lift ?

you will to bleed both sides, alignment wise if you have not moved the hole for your track bar the axle will be out of line ie axle will stick out more one side than the other

Excuse my ignorance but how do I move the hole for the track bar or will having the alignment done sort the problem? If I bleed both sides at the front will that do the job?

Sounds like you should probably take the caliper off and sort out the seized brake nipple. Putting the nipple in a vice done up very tight and turning the caliper works well but puts fluid everywhere.

As the track bars / panhard rods have no adjuster on them it can't be adjusted by taking it for a wheel alignment. You need to fit adjustable bars or drill a new mounting hole for them.

The reason I started with a 2" BB was because according to all the info available you do not need to do anything else to the Jeep except  have an alignment done.All I fitted were 4 spring spacers and 4 shocks, but I will do what is necessary and appreciate the advice and info.

a 2" lift shouldn't affect the alignment enough to be noticeable,  with a seized bleed nipple you wont be able to get the air out of the hydraulics in that caliper so when you brake that caliper will not work effectively. do as James has suggested with a vice and replace with new.

the easiest way to bleed the brakes is by using a vacuum bleeder, if not available them its the off on up and down communication

I removed the caliper last night , it is presently on the bench being soaked in plus gas, I will leave it until I get home tonight and then try and remove the nipple.

Good luck , can't see why it won't work, but........

If the worst comes to the worst use a set of parallel , not the conventional tapered , screw extractors to remove it. The big advantage of those is you can usually get bleed nipples out EASILY without even touching the threads .

Posting that snippet as people , me included lol, usually go jumping in if it goes wrong.

try the vice trick - even if you have to buy a vice to do it! I tried everything, heat, penetrating fluids. a clamping wrench that really grabs seized nuts and nothing worked. I then put it in the vice and turned the caliper and it just unscrewed (top tip from Lornaben)

easy out can be a disaster if they break so they are normally a last resort. penetration fluid heat and a vice normally works

Before I'd thought to do that....... The red mist descended and I had welded some scrap 1/4" bar to the bleed nipple and just like a large wrench it came undone...... Just had to get on to Lighties for a new bleed nipple then......

The vice trick has won  .Was bit worried it would shear off but it came out with a whimper.
