If your fob battery is good, does disconnecting the car battery for 5 mins help reset stuff ?

I'll pull the battery and give it a charge, see if that helps.

Tried earlier and when opened by key all it did was put hazards on for a while, then off, then back on.
Summit to do with alarm I guess :017:

Things to do.
Replace the fob batteries unless they are new and have been replaced even if only a couple of months old.I replace the batterys in the fobs every 4 months regardless, low cost that can save problems.
Spray the inside of the fob with electric contact cleaner
Fully charge the car battery. The fob only sends the signal to the module , it is the vehicle battery that does the rest. I very rarely use my Jeep during the week and it sometimes stands for 2 weeks  without running, if I do not connect the trickle charger and the battery drains ,my fob does nothing either. I have to charge the battery and then the fob does it job. I have a standard battery not an Optima.
Hope this helps.

That should solve the problem but if nothing works I have a couple of spare fobs you can have one FOC but a different fob will need programming  at the dealers and mine charged me £30 to program 1 for me.
When I bought the ZJ I only got 1 key and fob with it and my Mrs is very good at losing keys. :jpshakehead:

Success  :ace:
I always carry spare batteries in the Jeep just in case. As long as they are in the pack and untouched they have a keep date on them.
