Do any of you lot know much about it?
Wondering if any of you can suggest a bit of satnav software that does 'full postcode' recognition. Am using tomtom5 on me PDA, but it doesn’t do full postcode, only works from the first 3 letters of the postcode. Say I input the post code MK88EH, it takes me to the MK8 then I have to select the street name, and often if its a long street/road it has several different postcodes! Hence it’s causing me problems and costing me time out on the road!
So do you know of owt that does full postcode recognition?

I use a garmin streetpilot i3. Uses full postcode recognition or town and road recognition. Costs a fair amount less than a tomtom too.

Send me your mail addy again, and i'll send you the postcode file for TomTom5 and tell you where to stick it
You just need the file in the right place.

File is called:
Great_Britain
Now, go to start, programs and choose "File Explorer"
At the top Change to "My Device"
Press and hold the "Pen" on a blank area of screen and then choose "New Folder"
Call the folder "zip"
Now copy the "Great_Britain" File into this directory.
in summary, you should have the following
\My Device\zip\Great_Britain
Hope that makes sense... you should have the postcode file on the DVD
