KJ radio removal

Hi all,
I need to remove my radio to fit a new piece of kit being developed by a satnav company. First of all I need to find out if the OEM radio is suitable. Does it have standard ISO connectors, etc? Can anyone advise on its removal procedure?
The Sound Systems handbook tells me to take it to a dealer!

RE removal i belive on the earlier ones remove ashtray and a little screw in there and on the later one the screw is inside the cubby hole next to lighter, then pull but gentle. Possibly not ISO connector ??. it may also depend on what radio unit it is to start with tape / cd / or both. Sorry can't help anymore but someone else may have removed and be more tech than me....

Leave it up the Elephant & Castle for 5mins, guarantee the radio will have been removed by the time you get back

Ha, thanks guys. I work on the railways and when we work around E&C, etc., we leave one guy guarding the cars!
Back to the problem, car doesn't have an ashtray but I'm looking into option 2, or I would be if my wife hadn't pinched my Jeep and left her Renault on the drive.
