Anyone know if it's telescopic? Need to shorten it an inch to fit the CJ, just wondering if I should hit it a bit harder! Looks like it is telescopic, just stiff.

are you asking about the column itself or the link from the bottom to the box?
i know the link is telescopic......

Sorry KD yes it's the link I'm on about. It does look telescopic, but the joint is a bit rusted up under the little rubber boot which had slid down. Guess I'll try more penetrating oil and a bit of heat then whack it one!

when you slide it apart, there are 2 small clips to retain it.....dont lose em & make sure they go back in the right way...
