:(  hi there I noticed the other day that my passenger door had dropped slightly.  On inspection I see that the weld around the top hinge has givin way. shouldnt be to much of a problem to fix.   Is this a common fault with this model.?  thanks

It was a standard feature in early XJs. There was a factory reinforcement kit available which welded ito the pillar to stop it happening again.

got a mate to weld her up last night. good as new door was a pain in the ass to get sitting 100% tho.
