Anyone fitted a diesel engine into a cherokee ? or a link for engine gearbox conversion plates, Ive done this with landys but haven't seen much on xjs .......thanx

Cheers, I'll have a good look at that site, a friend was asking about the probability of a conversion. i was thinking maybe a 2.8 daihatsu. or nissan, i found the daihatsu a good strong reliable engine, and the 4liter nissan out of the patrol none turbo very strong.......cya

I believe Chrysler fitted diesel engines to Cherokees occasionally.

yeh they did but somehow they chose the wrong suplier. if it fails go buy a 4ltr it works out cheaper
