I ran out of diesel outside my house .......
Do I need to bleed the diesel set up to get it going again?

as above the primer is the black dial ontop of the fuel filter, unscrew it a pump away untill it goes hard (ooooeeeerrrrrrr missus)

Don't forget to slacken the bleed screw next to the pump. tighten it again when fuel comes out.
