Worth 2 quid and a pork pie or not?
Best makes?
Ease of fitting?
Do Bestop tops fit over them?
Any feedback appreciated

Dont like em.
You end up with a speaker so close to the back of your head everything is effectively in mono and capable of giving you a screaming headache.
Just my tuppence

Stew,...
I have a set of VDP pods available for you, if interested. They didn;t fit completely on a 96 due to a bolt on the sports bar.
I didn't want to cut them up, as they are splash proof, so I had replacments sent out by VDP (Free of charge!!).
Interested?

Possibly
Are they the ones that you need to drill holes in the sports bar tho?
The ones I've been looking at appear to just 'strap on'

Yup,...
Three holes for each of the pods, two on the rear side bar, one on the cross bar

That's just for show, you put the drill bit in the drill, then you have to run round in circles really fast to make the hole......
