Auto Gearbox question..
« on: August 19, 2005, 07:43:09 PM »

Just had the box serviced by Automatic Gearbox Specialists at Bridgetown near Cannock, when the sump pan was removed a small amount of filings was found around the mag plug, how serious is this please, motor has done just over 119k.
Guy seemed non commital, saying he had tried the Jeep out and all seemed well with the box.

this is normal for very small filings they look almost like fur stuck to the magnet large chips and filings are not good but what you describe would not bother me a bit
