Title: Removing zj headlights

any idea what tools I need to take and is there an easy way??

They just pull out. But you have to pull hard

I'm removing the complete headlamp and out else I can grab not just the glass,is it the whole unit ya on about? :017:

Yes the complete unit comes out there clipped in
It's a crappy set up

If its the same set up as the WJ the whole thing is held in place by those ball-in clip thingies.

Balls on the light and clips in the bodywork.  Pull ever so slightly with constant pressure because if
you give it a yank you're likely to pull the plastic clips out of the body.  When they crack it is a royal PITA.

Put some grease or vaseline on when you re-fit.

Getting theside lights out are a big enough PITA...greasing seems a good idea...

Second the above, its not nice applying that much pressure to the lights but its the only way.

Fitting this weekend so will try the grease tip :icon_super:
