Im shoppin around for some quotes for LPG on the Chief, and they want HP for some reason, so where do I get that from then?
Dunno if it makes any difference but its stock as far as I know apart from the performer inlet manifold, 670 holley truck carb, hei dizzy, and hedman hedders.
Cheers gents :greggmo:

360 with 4 barrel was 285bhp, it would have lost 20% if your lucky but more likely 30/40% due to age, but you would have reclaimed some of that with the new carb and exhaust, so as a guess I would say your at about 230/250bhp

They need it to size the vapouriser. Always overestimate the hp for this, not underestimate!

Heres a link i posted the other week with jeep engine details,maybe it should be put as a sticky for quick reference to it in future

for LPG quote 290/300 bhp
-
I quoted 300 bhp, and here is the reply - decisions decisions:
It is no problem to supply a full kit for your Jeep – at this engine size and 300hp, you have two options – you can use and Italian based kit with special high output components to suit your carb/engine setup or the American made Impco system. The Italian system is excellent quality and will work fine with this power but will be at the top end of its working range. The Impco kit is specially designed for large engines and is the ‘Rolls Royce’ of kits for this type of application.
With a cylinder tank upto 90ltr (other/bigger tanks are available), the Italian kit will cost £550 + vat and the Impco based kit will cost £850 + vat, both kits will contain all you need for the conversion with good instructions and any advice/backup you may need.
You can see various kits in our on-line store (the exact kit you need is not shown as it is not so common but it will give you a good idea) ;

Go Impco.you know it makes sense.
When you get that 'rumpety cam profile' and 2 4 barrel carbs and high zoot heads on the 6.6 you know it will make sense..
Oh yes 400 neddies on BBQ/ Fork Lift Truck fuel....... :icon_twisted:

I had assumed impco was the only way to go, but as I have shamelessly bragged about the bhp it temptin to save £300
