AZC Self diagnostic modes codes
« on: February 14, 2010, 06:28:03 PM »

I've just done a AZC self diagnostic test and it came up with the codes:
52 - AI (Recirc) door travel too large
54 - Left temp door travel too large
56 - Right temp door travel to large

Does this mean I have to cut behind the glove box to access theses doors?
Also the heated seats don't work (the light on the button comes on though) and the a/c button comes on when the car is started in the morning, will flash a bit and then go out. Could all of these thing be related?

Thanks in advance

The blend air and recirc doors are all broken and the heat pad in the drivers seat cushion will be fooked.

Thanks for the replies. Is it only the US that we can get them from? Surely there must be some where over here we can get the blend door kit.

Now you own a Jeep, better get used to getting parts from the USA. UK Jeep dealers are very expensive -
the blend door problem will cost you well over a thousand quid for a dealer to do it.

I phoned a UK dealer to find out a price on the blend door kit and was told £130 +vat. Is this the same kit as on ebay? Will I be able to install this kit through the glove box and retain dual heater control or is it a totally different kit that needs to have the dash removed?

No, that's the factory blend air door assembly. Full dash out job, a day's work. You also need a recirc door assembly. If you want the dash out job done properly with the pukka factory parts I know someone who will do it for about £500 if you can get it to Southend.

So if I were to go the the dealers and buy the factory blend air door assembly can I fit it through the glove compartment?

Duh....just re-read it sorry. I won't be buying that then.
I've found a place in Bicester Oxfordshire that can fix it so that I'll still have dual control for £255 +vat which I think is pretty good.
