Is there not a stock recovery point or location where a stock one should be? I'm just thinking from an XJ and other similar era Jeep perspective - they usually come with a small eye bracket bolted on - not really upto heavy recovery but if you bolt a decent hook or shackle mount in their place then you have something that will stand up to most recoveries.

On your FSJ websites, surely in a newbie section someone else has asked the same question - not everyone goes 35s and winch bumpers immediately

it doesn't look to bad but it just looks too heavy in build.

today I have commissioned front & rear recovery/winch bumpers for the Chief, all for the price of a bottle of welding gas and some physical labour  :icon_super:

front should def be done by Clyro, so Im all ready for Steve to spend his weekend winching me out of everywhere  :lol_hitting:

just a shame im unlikely to get up to MJS to actually fit the winch
