silver elec box under centre of dash, tj

I've just noticed an unconnected plug with an orange and a black wire. It seems to come from a metal box with electrics. Should this be connected and what's the silver box for ? :die:

We disconected one of these on DoubleJs unimog rig........ if its on the gearbox tunnel in centre tis for air bags I think......

TJ owners will be along soon to confirm.......... or maybe not :icon_twisted:

Forgot about that.....
There is footage of air bag under a board with a bloke off the street being 'lifted' by the explosion..?

was that one of yours?? :hysterical:

Orange and black wires in that area should be the dimmer lamp plug for the A/C / Heater controls.

I put A/C / Heater as you will have one or the other. The plug is shown in the wiring diagrams for both heaters. Can't remember what years FSM I checked though.
