I've just noticed an unconnected plug with an orange and a black wire. It seems to come from a metal box with electrics. Should this be connected and what's the silver box for ?

We disconected one of these on DoubleJs unimog rig........ if its on the gearbox tunnel in centre tis for air bags I think......

There is footage of air bag under a board with a bloke off the street being 'lifted' by the explosion..?

was that one of yours??

Orange and black wires in that area should be the dimmer lamp plug for the A/C / Heater controls.

That's ok thenI've no aircon..so just spare wires :0)

I put A/C / Heater as you will have one or the other. The plug is shown in the wiring diagrams for both heaters. Can't remember what years FSM I checked though.
