Author Topic: XJ 4.0 Auto 1993 removing the AC pump, shorter serpentine belt length?  (Read 1804 times)

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone knows the correct or even a rough idea of the length of the belt needed if you remove the AC pump? Standard length is 2150mm (from memory)

Or can it not be done? Different route?

I offered up the spare belt from a Wrangler 4.0 Manual with no AC and it was way to short 1800mm.

Any idea's? Many thanks in advance Maf

ive seen it done but cant remember where. have you tried naxja or pirate4x4

The part number of the belt i used is Gates micro-v 6PK2238 68464, but it depends on the pulley layout. Mines the same as the last pic.
Its still running like that with no problems.
