Anyone know anything about isuzu troopers? I have been told that some years come with D44 rears? Any idea on the width? Gearing? Be nice to find a similar width 4.56 gears d44 for cheap......

I believe they are a GM 12-bolt axle 61-63" wide, depending on factory options. Mid 90's should all be 4.56, newer models 4.30 all should have discs as standard. 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern.

From the reaserch I've done on pirate 4X4 there are 2 axles, an isuzu 12 bolt that is nearly the size of a dana 60 in the ring and pinion and a metric dana 44.

The 44 only came under rodeos and amigos in the states, not sure what it's under over here. I know that vauxhall makes a vehicles that looks very close.

So realistically with a little work and research you could have a D30 front with a D44 rear for cheap. The rears do come primarily with 4.56's and 4.77 were options on some trucks. So a rear axle swap and a front re gear and your golden!!

I'll post more when I find more stuff out.
