Blowby.
« on: August 13, 2016, 01:47:35 PM »

Getting 'blowby' from the valve cover to the airfilter, and a delicate 'eau de oile' when cruising down the road. Checked the ccv valve and cleaned out out, had the cover off and cleaned the baffles (no sludge there anyway). Plenty of vacuum from the intake manifold, but a lot less at the front connector. How much suck should I expect at the front (to the airbox) connector?

I had that for years, pool of oil collecting in the air cleaner, pcv valve seemed fine, was clean and rattled like it should.

Fitted a new pcv valve and grommet and it went away forever, get a new one, rule it out properly first before digging deeper.
