Cherokee lift.

I have a Rocky Road 2" budget lift, but I got stuck while out laning at the weekend when I grounded the TC crossmember. My question is, can I add more spring spacers & a bigger axle block to get more lift without affecting the rest of the drivetrain? How high can I go? I don't have any money to spend, so I was planning on making my own spacers & blocks.

Apart from the fact that you'll have no more articulation if you fit pucks and blocks........

If you go higher than 2" with the setup you've got, your front caster angle is going to be too small and you'll start to get bump steer problems and loosing the self centring on the steering.  You really need replacement lower control arms over 3".

At the back, with the spring over setup on the XJ taller blocks will start to induce axle wrap because of the greater leverage too.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but 2" really is the limit for the setup you have.  You need a full spring lift with replacement arms and possibly a t case lowering kit to go any higher.

I'd agree with above. You might end up spending as much fixing problems that more spacers cause as you would on a cheaper lift kit.

Have a look at Pro-comp, Rusty's Offroad and Rough Country lift kits on the web. With the exchange rate you could get a very good deal and have replaced your entire suspension with new components.

yup i agree mixing and stacking bits just aint gonna work out longterm much better to get a full kit for the hight you want and try and sell your old bits as there will be somone who only wants to go up two inches who will buy it
there are mixed lift jeeps about and i rekon they may actualy be dangerous with out there owners knowing it

the exchange rate may be good but just watch the shipping costs especially uk shipping companies
