It's the module that controls all the electrics for the body like wipers, lighting etc.

Oh its back...and I quote
No RKE function

removed PCM and alarm siren stripped out the siren dried out water ingress rebuilt and refitted Traced all the power and the grounds from the BCM and ACM followed the wiring and found a poor connector, stripped down, rectified and rebuilt......

Was working Ok enough to pass MOT and be driven back here..............

Tried it last night...same problem..advised to disconnect battery for 2-3 hours.................... ](*,)  ](*,)  ](*,)  ](*,)

Told you the siren was f*c*ed on November 28th...............

The remotes communicate with the drivers door module which is part of the electric window switch pack. This can get spiked by the central locking motor and freeze causing all sorts of electrical problems. Unplug it for a few seconds or disconnect the battery briefly and it'll reboot.

Apart from Lighthouse or Mansfield 4x4 any suggestions where to locate a body control module for a 98 GC Larado?

GT 4x4 or Furbers have been mentioned already...
