Ford E350 4X4
« on: August 06, 2009, 10:01:57 PM »

probably going of the beaten track with this one but besides the Jeep I also have a '93 Ford E350 panel van with 7.3 ltr V8 Diesel in it. In the US a firm called Quigleys convert Ford vans to 4X4 using Dana axles. Does anyone have experience of either this convertion or big Ford 4X4's?

Yup. The problem is that this engine can pull a train but move off assertively and in snow or loose surfaces it just digs in. Project 2011 after Jeep and V8 Granada Coupe.

The chap who owns the B&B I stay at for work has a Fork County Transit 4x4. It has a dana 44 front axle and a landrover transfer case run via a small prop from the gearbox, looks like a good setup but parts are a bitch to get for it.
