Tracking, balance & aircon gassing
« on: August 22, 2009, 12:03:45 AM »

Hi Peeps

Just wondered if anyone knows of any recommended places in and around Wolverhampton where I could get my tracking, wheel balancing and aircon re-gassed on my 96 P 2.5TD LTD.

Or is it something that the usual merchants (kwik fit etc) can handle ...  :hysterical:

If it is just a re charge, then kwikfit should be able to handle it but if there are problems, which could well be a strong possibillity, thenyou will need someone who knows what they are doing.... The aircon compressor is shaft driven of another ancilliary (can't remember what) and the clutch is shrouded in a steel cowel.. Subsiquently the clutches and / or compressors fail as they tend to get a little too hot.. Motorclimate in bordseley heath are very good, but nothing air con is ever cheap....

the kwick fit near me wouldn't do the tracking on mine due to the fact that it was a 4wd and they didn't have the equipment. after many minutes of telling them it's only rear wheel drive the didn't understand that a 4wd could be 2wd. that was the intellect and i left wondering if they had the mentality to actually do the tracking, so went else where
