Engine Rebuild Kit

Afternoon Doods, i need to go shoppin for the poorly 401, the list is as follows:

main +10
big end +10
camshaft & followers
timing chain kit
oil pump
piston ring std
full gasket set

Crank needs regrinding apparently and i may as well replace the other bits so its like spangly and new  :003:

so, question is, any ideas where? I know where to shop to make it look pretty, but at a loss here.

rockauto.com have what you need and you wont find it cheaper.

Shame actually,i had a full gasket set,minus the water pump gasket,but im damned if i can remember what i did with it.Probably thrown it out when i moved knowing me.Theyre about £40 i think plus shipping etc

Lighthouse are pricin it up as we speak, so will take it from there and price against rockauto, didnt think lighthouse would do all that so it will at least save me ordering all the wrong stuff  :003:

a line bore is wear the make sure all the bearing saddles in the crankcase are in line, it makes sure the crank and bearings are set properly and helps the engine to run smoother, usually not needed unless the crank has been severely damaged, then of course you need to match the inlet/outlet ports but thats another story

RockAuto are good and shopping on their website is a doddle.

Also try Summit Racing and Flatlander Racing in the US. I got all my engine parts from them, just don't get too carried away with the performance parts or you'll be bakrupt before you know it  :icon_twisted:
