I know this could possibly be considered a subject more suitable for the classifieds but it is more complex than that and there is a technical issue here.
I need the above tyre to be a spare for the set of four I already own (also bought second-hand) but I remember seeing something about a batch or the later version being considerably smaller than the originals? Does anyone have any concrete information on this problem? Was it a bad batch, an incorrectly stamped set, or a newer version?
The tyres I have are some of the earlier ones and measure about 32.3" tall so are bang on the money for a remoulded 235/85/16. Obviously I don't want to end up with a pram wheel odd spare so what do I need to look out for? I now have a fifth rim waiting for a tyre.
Does anyone have a part set, sat at the back of the driveway/garage, that they would like to shift? 2 or 3 would be useful as a friend of mine also has a damaged one that he is still running but would like to use as spare. Condition doesn't have to be great as it can be kept as a spare but I do need it to be the same tread and size as the others and legal in case I need to use it to get home.
