2001 Grand Cherry brake caliper
« on: November 26, 2009, 06:39:34 PM »

Had a few problems over the weekend, my garage had a look at my brakes for me. They said that the piston inside the front right caliper was plastic & they had never seen this before  does anyone know if this is the norm.

What they probably mean is the piston is made from Bakelite.

Have a look at this thread: http://www.birtydastards.com/frm/index.php?topic=9334.0

Assuming the brakes on yours are similar and Lighthouse sell a service kit you should have them fixed in no time.
