Where do you guys store yours?

In the Jeep? 

I have a bag full of recovery gear (tree strop / shackles / strop etc).  Usually kept on the floor behind the passenger seat, so is easily reachable if required.

IOM Where the feck did you source a Wierd Fish Sticker?

Just moved most of the stuff into a box in the TJ and stuck the rest in an ammo case in the Grand

Used to have it i an ammo case bolted where the spare wheel is on the door.    But... it always meant standing in the mud to get to some'at. So now have 2 canvas bags on passenger floor and no more probs.... always to hand.

whats in your recovery gear then ?

for laning and froading i take the same, recovery straps, tree strops, shackles, snatch block, gloves

because you never know what a lane is going to throw at yer

I keep my recovery kit in the garage when it's not required. I store it in one of these tubtrugs and just grab it and chuck it in the back of the Jeep. I keep shackles, strops, saw etc in it and it's easy to load and unload. I also keep a couple odd small shackles and a recovery strop in the back of the Jeep.

i have, in wot seems a long long time ago, coz it aint moved for about a yr and then some now (well not moved more than bout 6 miles b4 stoppin again), but its gettin there, and when its there, its stayin out of the garage for a good few years, so i will be back

OK and stop bickering at the back....

I replaced me old Wilkinsons storage crate with ...another one coz the ammo box wasn't ideal for my TJ

Roughly 22" x14" a 12"

In it is...big recovery rope rope , Explorer recovery strap (used Saturday) Bridle, One of those ropes used to anchor trucks to trees for winching  numerous shackles, spade, various spanners/sockets  Can  WD40, screwdriver

Bungee straps


Just need some more 19mm shackles...

And no Bull dog don't take fruit on laning trips...crisps and pasties possibly....

Good point. I didn't think about that either until a drunk hit us at 60mph. Even the smallest
object is lethal when it hits your bonce at 60, nevermind a wrench or suchlike. Whatever you use,
make sure it's strapped in good and the lid closed.
