Sump plug

I've just changed the oil on my 4.0 xj for the first time and was a bit surprised by the plug washer. There was a rubber washer moulded to the plug but no copper washer. I've never seen this before... is this normal for Jeep? I didn't replace the rubber but put it back. Should there be a copper washer too?

The sump plug is a throwaway item. if the seal leaks, you fit a new one.

Thanks. Don't think it's leaking, will keep an eye on it!

is the rubber on the inside of the washer so it rubs against the threads. if so these are bonded washers and are quite common. they actually seal around the threads and surfaces rather than a squash seal like a copper washer or an aluminium one
