well dont they look nice!
mine have been changed, albeit mismatched but they are done, pics tomorow
bit of a nitemare, I thought they tried to play a trick on me, i took 6 rims and they hid one, and then refused to put one on cause of a kerb ding
so i nearly shat meself and had to ring Sprintagogoboots to check I had 6 and not 5... in the mean time the new guy found the 'hidden' rim  :icon_rolleyes:
and then some have white writing facing, some black, not that I am bothered which is facing just as long as they were all the same............ :icon_rolleyes:
now i will have to swap the diagoal tyres... :017: yup fronts are black, backs are white  :icon_rolleyes:
oh and the pressure guage was bust
get what you pay for I spose....£45
and the shop was called..........Mo's  :icon_rolleyes:

Found a place by me with a fixed price,£6 per tyre change which i thought pretty reasonable.Place i used to use was always different prices, even for the same thing so i got fed up with them

I used to get mine demounted and demudded at least twice a year and it was £35 and they grumbled like hell cos I wasn't buying remoulds for a chav hatchback......

So this year got a high lift off the bay for £20 and a valve removal tool from Silverline for £1.99 and did it myself ....took about 15mins per tyre going it some 35s and all....... but worth it I aired up to 35 to see how good and that was Feb..... checked again today still up there
(no I haven't been driving it like that just working on the  winchy both ends syndrome!!! :jpshakehead:) I guess I'll have to buy some cheap tyre levers to do a full removal tho.    Tis easy once you've done one..........honest :icon_super:

This is the way forward! I have probably saved hundreds of pounds over the last 3-4 years by cleaning out the tyre beads myself and fitting my own new and secondhand tyres. You also get better results because you take the time to make sure it is all clean where tyre bays just slap on the soap and call it good regardless of any grit or shit. As Momos has found, you also get it right. I have suffered a similar problem to her when I had new low profile valves fitted, my tyres came back with the white writing on show when they were originally black wall out (I hate white lettering on tyres, Momos, you should go back and get this sorted!)

I have just taken delivery of this www.devon4x4.com/products_a/c214/tyre-balancing/0.html
It costs the same or a tiny bit more than tyre bay balancing (depending on where you go) but should always be 100% right which is more than can be said for some muppets at tyre bays and also should be right for the life of the tyre.If you are carefull the granules can be swapped with the tyre if a wheel'rim change is necessary.

As soon as i pop them in my new 235/85/16 General Grabber AT2's I will let you all know how it works.
