I have been wondering the same.... Bolt patterns look spot on, just not actually got round to checking.

yup they will bolt up. but I am not sure if you need to cut a hole in the bellhousing to allow for the cps  from the cherry.

Had a google, and so long as it's a Jeep sourced TH400, it will, but as Rob says, the CPS
will need relocating. Novak say it's a 1/2" hole needs to be drilled in the belhousing.

novak do a cps relocation kit but for all the cost and trouble its a lot easier to drill a hole  and enlarge it to the correct shape to fit the cherry cps. make sure you use the cherry starter ring as well.

hi bubba ...yea got a 360 in my cj5.. got a 360 with th400 and quadratrac for the offroader im building...just thought the 4.0ltr would be better for offroading as even the mighty holly truck avenger i have in my 5 doesn't like too steep a angle.  still you cant beat the sound of a nice 360.  just got a 7 with a rotten tub but got a lot of spares from it, a 85 lhd 304 auto with a 300 trans case, the engine needs striping as its been stood for about 7 year but its got a 4 barrel edelbrock intake and carb fitted (have i read somewhere that you have to upgrade the cam on the 304 to take the upgraded 4 barrel carb ect? or have i dreamt that?) so i will probably get rid of some stuff when i decide what I'm going to do but don't worry il put it on birtys first...wont be for a while anyway...

woah there that 300 transfer case has my name on it and as for steep angle problems you know what to do.............................
But im afraid it involves installing a lovely diesel engine as they dont have fuel starvation problems.

ill get my coat

You sussed us out Bubba the guy sold it to a man from Holland and the buyer came all the way from the Netherlands with his trailer to take it away and on arrival asked where the log book was?
As no log book was forthcoming he got back in his car and went all the way back to Holland wasnt interested in the Jeep just the log book. :tool:

Still not sure what the guy selling it intended on making though but hiding underneath all that hideousness were the remnants of a CJ7 with a 304.

Hey monkey features my diesel powered cj6 is both taxed and tested which is more than can be said for your "garaged" vehicle. How many miles has yours done so far this year??? about 0.0001 i think.
Yours must be the most economical vehicle on this forum judging by how much petrol its used so far this year.
Poor thing wont know whats hit it when its getting abused at Kirton next weekend but must admit it will be nice to see it out and about again that Bronco was just a waste of time.(mainly mine wiring the pigging thing :hysterical:)
