Hi,

Thinking of getting bead lockers for my swampers as at low pressures (7psi) the tyre can pop off, so having to run at 12/15psi and they do not work as well... got the Wrangler out of storage and competed in a punch hunt, pleased to say won 1st in the non winched.

Can anyone please recommend a UK stockist? 15" wheels, all details welcome, want to get the best I can...

been looking at getting some made (but to be honest I dont really need em) but the good news is i was quoted about 60 quid to have a set of 4 pairs of rings  CAD cut + cost of materials by a local water jet cutting company,

that would prob be your best bet - but from all the talk on pirate unless they have an internal section they are more for trail only rigs.
if you really want to spend alot of money check out trailready or stazworks but make sure your sitting down.
or you could try something like stuan internal bead tubes. with them you can put them on the rims you have now and i know they are alot cheaper than new rims or fab work.

Beware of the Staun ones. Was offroading with Coyote at JeepeyEvent at Tong last year, he had them and the valve for the staun is solid and sticks out ....... very very bad bad design....... he ripped off two of them...... no way of sorting pressures out without stripping wheel and staun from rim......
Worst off he had bought them from Devon 4x4 who refused to take resposibility for failure citing he had to take it up with the manufacturers in the US....... bad bad bad......

Most of us over here run smaller width rims for recommended tyres.... Me I run 12.50 x15 x35" on an 8" (I think 'ish' rim) meant to be 10"
being doing it for 10 years never a problem and I run 12 in front and 8 in rear no tyre off rim ever, just mud in bead bundle and leaks ....but that's what your Hi-lift is for.....

This is on BFG Muds..... with bias ply swamper walls are really really stiff and that is why they leave the rim.

Again same mate (sorry Coyote!) had 33s x 15 x 15.5ish wide on 10 " rims Swampers...... followed him round Tong one weekend he lost 3 off the rim..... he and I are now very good with the hair spray and lighter trick.........

I have 5 trailready beadlocks 5x5.5 that I would consider selling - currently fitted with 37 mudzillas,  still have the manufacture spikes on them little rockrash but good to go.

never heard a bad thing about the trailreadys, most of the big boys in the states use them.

Thanks guys, got some local advice and have just received a set of Gwyn Lewis ones, arrived next day, set of five £170+vat.

Hopefully should get them fitted next week, competing in punch hunt on Sunday so will just run 12 psi and then try the beadlockers with of course lower pressures on the next punch hunt/ play day.

there is a whole handful of different style rims with bolts around the outer ring, noone will ever know the difference

Got them all welded on last week, just gotta change the bolts for shorter ones....then we can get them on and do some testing.

These tyres will be used for punch hunts and play days... Maxxis mudders for lanes.

Fitted rear locker recently as well....
