The mic was something I thought a bit about as I didn't like the way it had been placed in other pics I'd seen. I solved the problem (to my taste) by using Krussel magnets, normally used for mobile phones:

and the other on the top side of the driver's sun visor, to store out of sight when the rig is not in use:
No major probs except the ruddy coax connector would not fit through the hole in the engine firewall so had to remove it to feed the cable through. Will now have to mount another coax connector on Monday when it arrives. Growl!!!
Otherwise, all the wires are perfectly hidden the CB is just where I wanted it. Job done!
