got a box in the end from Tris (Thanks M8, :003:) who is breaking a 2.5 RHD CJ7 so straight swap for the current one :hysterical: :hysterical: yea no such luck, nothing wrong with the new box and even got the old one off easy enough in well under an hour, only problem was the 2 bolts that sheared off in the chassis leg. one is out after a couple of hours but the other is playing silly buggers, not enough for my stud extractor to grip on so now resorted to grinding it flush and have started drilling it but that meant dropping the front leaf spring to get room for the drill, going to try and re-tap it but if that fails have the heli coils waiting.

finished for the day now, cant see in my shed for tools i need :banghead: but got all day tomorrow in the nice heated workshop to finish it, just need to get and fit a clutch before friday so we have a jeep for the Turkey Hunt

the sheared bolts wernt the worst part of the day, got chatting to one of the blokes at the workshop and he told me of his 2 jeeps he scrapped when his kid was born 10 yrs ago, coulpe of cherrys i thought so no biggy, turns out the were chiefs a 2 door and a 4 door, one with a chevy 350 conversion and the other with the 'original' 6.6lt, tried to sell the pair for 500 quid but no one wanted em so he weighed em in for scrap, i was almost in tears
