lifted WJ front propshaft
« on: November 12, 2010, 11:08:15 AM »

Been having a look around for a front shaft as my double CV one does not like the lift I have on it now.

2 options:

source the axle & TC yokes myself, then have a quote of £230+vat for a DC/UK propshaft sourced fairly local to me. so £350ish all told

buy the job lot from the US at $440 plus shipping duty etc, I reckon about £400-450 all in

Would prefer the first option TBH, its easy to go up the road if the prop goes bad, any ideas where to source axle/TC yokes from?

Right, the yokes are £200, inc the fittings. Quick call to GT 4x4 for a prop methinks

Given the quotes I am getting in the UK for the parts getting from the UK is going to be the cheapest option, doesn't seem to be any second hand driveshafts around at the mo  :banghead:
